A great way for website owners to categorize their articles, posts or any information related to specific areas or states is to have a clickable map on their web site instead of a dull list of links on the page.

I’ve seen some great examples using JQuery plugin MapHilight to create excellent hover over effects for county and state maps of the world. It has revitalized interest in using such a technique to present clickable maps at your website or blog.
